Potnij ciasto na 4 równe paski. Pierwszy posmaruj musztardową pastą, posyp 1/3 sera, ułóż na nim kolejny pasek ciasta i powtarzaj proces, aż zużyjesz cały ser i paski ciasta. Ostatnim paskiem tylko przykryj, już go nie smaruj. Ostrym nożem, delikatnie podziel serowy pasek na 7-10 części, szerokości około 4-5 cm. Następnie ułóż kawałki w formie, pionowo, jeden przy drugim. Kiedy skończysz, potrzęś lekko formą na boki, następnie przykryj formę luźno folią i odstaw na bok na jakieś 20 minut. Piecz ok. 30 minut, w temp. 180 st. C.
